Occupational Therapists


Phyllis Carden, OTR/L

Phyllis brings over 20 years of occupational therapy experience to Talk Time.  She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, home health, management, schools and early intervention.  Phyllis graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.  She also has a degree from Georgia Southern University in Sociology.  Her background in sociology combined with her knowledge of occupational therapy are a great combination for giving her even more insight into working with the “whole” child.  Phyllis is trained in Handwriting without Tears, Orton Gillingham, sensory integration and she is committed to providing the best therapy possible to the children that she works with.  In her spare time, Phyllis enjoys all types of exercise, yoga, pilates, traveling with her husband and exploring new places.  



Tracey Bell, OTR/L

Tracey attended the University of Florida where she received her Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy in 1988.  Tracey's professional experience has included working with adults, adolescents, and children in a wide variety of settings, both private and hospital based.  She worked as a Regional Director for a national rehab company, gaining much respect for the challenges of providing quality, individualized therapy in our complex healthcare system.  Tracey understands the importance of developing excellent rapport with her clients, providing fun and motivating therapy while implementing research-based intervention in order to maximize progress.  She is an avid learner and regularly attends continuing education opportunities related to sensory processing disorder, dyslexia/dysgraphia/dyscalculia, autism spectrum disorders, sensory diet strategies, and handwriting interventions.  She is passionate about rebuilding a child's self-esteem and creating meaningful, engaging ways to solidify the foundational skills needed for school, play, and friendship success.  When not working with her clients, Tracey enjoys running, weight-training, reading and spending active time outside with her family.
